- Skilled in use of 3D CAD software to model concepts, explore alternatives, perform detailed designs, communicate with resources, and synthesize projects into reality.
- Driven to utilize physical prototypes early and often to observe and interact with complex behavior that guides subsequent design.
- Ability to use drafting, tolerances, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to communicate design intent for manufacturing.
- Experienced in automated system design.
— Designer of systems using pneumatics, stepper motors, and servo motors for motion and force generation.
— Designer of systems utilizing machine vision, multi-spectral, and hyper-spectral imaging applications and techniques.

- Broad experience with different manufacturing techniques for custom parts fabrication including:
— Mills, lathes, and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machining centers.
— Water jetting and laser cutting.
— Sheet metal fabrication.
— Wire and volume electrical discharge machining (EDM).
- Experience using additive manufacturing rapid prototyping technologies including:
— Stereolithography (SLA).
— Selective Laser Sintering (SLS).
— Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM).
— PolyJet.
— Cast urethanes.
